Wealth

This shelf is where the language gets careless, so here is the distinction the tradition makes. A stone does not attract money. What the older practice did was keep a marker of what you are working toward where you would see it, on the hand that does the work. Citrine is the stone most often given that job, and green phantom quartz the other: growth rather than luck, slow accumulation rather than the windfall. Both are reminders of an intention, and neither is a promise.

These are the stones people traditionally keep:

  • At the start of a month you have decided to be deliberate about.
  • When you are saving for something specific and the middle of it is boring.
  • When your work is going well and your own share of it is going nowhere.

Our reading on the Water stones explains why the tradition ties wealth language to phases rather than outcomes.

How to choose

  • Warm or green. Citrine for steadiness and support, green phantom quartz for growth.
  • Colour. Natural citrine is a pale, smoky yellow rather than neon. Deep orange at a low price is heat treated amethyst.
  • Bead size. 10 mm is the default and 12 mm shows the colour best. Check the size guide.

The Five Elements places citrine with Earth and green phantom quartz with Wood, phases of holding and growing rather than getting, as the guide lays out.

One honest note: no stone here treats or cures anything, and none of it will make you money. What you are buying is a reminder.
