What It Is

A 紫晶洞 is a cavity that formed inside volcanic rock, lined with amethyst over a span nobody can date precisely. There is no second one like it.

Why This One

• Cut and polished on the outer face only; the interior is exactly as it grew.

How to Judge It

Every carving in this collection is checked against the same standard:

• Cavity depth — deep cavities grew long crystals.
• Colour — dark at the base, lighter at the tips, no bleached patches.
• Intact tips — no chipping from extraction.
• The agate rim — the banded outer shell.

How to use it

1. Unpack it on a soft surface. — These are heavy and the tips are brittle.
2. Light it from the side. — Overhead light flattens it; a lamp to one side makes the cavity read.
3. Dust with a dry, soft brush. — Never water — the cavity traps it.

Care

• Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid water, oils and harsh chemicals.
• Amethyst fades in prolonged direct sun.
• Lift from the base, never from the points.
